The Renovation & Repair Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of property maintenance tasks, including renovations, general repairs, troubleshooting issues during house calls, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. This role supports residential and small commercial properties and requires strong problem‐solving skills, reliability, and customer‐focused service. Willing to work with a crew and be flexible with day-to-day tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform renovations such as flooring installation, drywall repair, painting, carpentry, fixture replacement, and minor remodeling.
  • Complete general repairs including plumbing fixes, electrical troubleshooting (non‐licensed tasks), appliance repairs, door/window adjustments, and cosmetic improvements.
  • Respond to house calls to diagnose issues, provide on‐site solutions, and communicate repair needs clearly to property managers or homeowners.
  • Conduct routine maintenance such as seasonal checks, preventative repairs, and safety inspections.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working order.
  • Document work performed and update service logs or work orders.
  • Provide excellent customer service by being punctual, respectful, and communicate about repair timelines and costs.
  • Follow safety protocols and comply with building codes and company standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of general construction, renovation techniques, and home repair.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues independently.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • Good communication and customer‐service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for traveling to house calls.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in property management or residential maintenance
  • Experience with using property management software.
  • Certifications in carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical (not required but beneficial).
  • Ability to estimate job costs and materials.
