NLP Rewind Technique – Eliminate Your Fear And Replace It With Confidence

Monday, March 1st, 2010

We can talk about phobias until the cows come home. We all have them and sometimes are stuck with them to such an extent that they destroy our chances of being happy. To the end, there is a glimmer of hope by using the nlp rewind technique.NLP or it’s full name; Neuro-Linguistic-Programming as been around for a long time, but has only been used productively in the past few years. Research has found that we tend to replay the problem in our minds over and over again until we cannot differentiate between past and present. What might have happened to us in the past has somehow jumped into our present in a very real and frightening way. Hence the anxiousness and sweaty palms and even heart palpitations manifest at the slightest recall.Let’s briefly look at a case study recently brought to the fore:Janet is a 40 year old mother of two and wonderfully happy. Her husband as a great job and her children are excelling at school. Janet has just one problem though, she cannot drive a car. longboards . You see her her little brother died in a car crash when she was also just a toddler, and seems to think that she will also die if she drives car. After a long discussion with her therapist they both decided on the rewind technique. Here is a brief summary of what transpired at her sessions:After a few therapy sessions, Janet was willing to try this technique as a last resort. The process necessitates rewinding her visual memory as if she was an audience member watching her own movie. This way she could observe, her own feelings and emotions as they happened. It sort of gives the patient a platform to disassociate themselves from the trauma.Once this memory would manifest, she was then asked to get up from her chair and stand in a spot where she could observe herself watching her movie. It was sort of an out of body visualization technique. She would then have to observe her feelings, emotions and facial expressions in detail. She was then gradually allowed to change the color of her movie into technicolor. This immediately brightened up the mood of the movie. She was then urged to watch her movie until the end in a position where she was not frightened because she was observing from the side lines, while rewinding and fast forwarding her movie and putting some positive scenes like music and nice objects around the actors. She started to imagine that she was driving in her little car, safe and sound while soothing music played on the radio. She ended up with a yellow beach buggy that blared a popular song by the Beach Boys. Her fear was eliminated and replaced with the nlp rewind technique and she is now confident behind the wheel, so much so that she is hardly home any more!Discover more about the NLP rewind technique and find out how you can use it to cure phobias fast.

Do Subliminal Messages Really Work? A Quick Look At Subliminal Messages

Friday, February 26th, 2010

A common question when people talk about the subconscious mind would be something like, do subliminal messages really work? These messages are said to communicate with your subconscious mind, and are supposedly used in advertising so marketers effectively sell their products. Plasma TVs . These messages are also used in therapy sessions for the mind.Subliminal messages are not perceived by the conscious mind, so you do not exactly see or hear them. You do not exactly see or hear these messages beneath visuals or audio tracks – your mind simply receives them directly without going through the conscious mind.People have thought that marketers and advertisers use subliminal messages to sell. Words are said to be inserted in videos but they are so fast that the conscious mind is not able to even notice it. Audio, as well, have been injected with these messages, with statements hidden in the tracks. These messages are not heard and not understood – but only the subconscious mind does. However, as you know more, you tend to ask once again: do subliminal messages really work? The answer should be yes, they do work. Some people do not say that it works because they do not feel it working. How can you feel something which works if you do not perceive? Only by experiments in controlled environments can tell that they do actually work. This is why subliminal messages, aside from marketing promotions and products, have been used in therapy sessions, as well. They could help people to improve their personalities, overcome psychological problems and other things related with the mental thinking. Subliminal messages may be hidden in pictures, videos and audio, so that patients are not aware of subliminal messages hidden from their conscious mind, but is in fact already understood and grasped by their mind through the subconscious. These subliminal messages have the power to tell the mind what to feel and what to think about (obviously without getting you to do anything dangerous or against your will). By harnessing this power, humans could improve themselves and successfully help themselves to become better people. For out more about how subliminal messages work see how to make subliminal messages yourself.

The Benefits of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

The benefits of Neuro-Linguistic Programming for anyone who suffers from a phobia can be life changing. Effective and powerful, NLP can help you not only overcome the phobia but also help you uncover the root of the phobia and understand why it existed in the first place. To really understand why NLP is effective, you much first understand what NLP is.NLP is a form of psychotherapy that can benefit anyone who seeks it in ways far beyond overcoming phobias. It can help with shyness, depression, habit or learning disorders, psychosomatic illnesses and help you live a fuller, happier life. Because it doesn’t settle for treating symptoms, NLP exposes the cause of the disorder and corrects it providing long lasting results that other forms of therapy can’t.NLP practitioners actively listen to your answers to questions targeted at uncovering the root of your phobia. They will look for clues and tips as to what experience in the past has led your phobia to take hold. Often times, this is a memory of something deeply suppressed in your mind. In order to make any real progress you have to be willing to look into your subconscious and let that come out so it can be changed. After the root cause is uncovered, it’s time to look at the trigger itself. The trigger is that which the phobia centers around – spiders, snakes, dogs, the dark or people to name just a few possible triggers. For the purpose of this article, we’ll say your phobia is of dogs. The cause of that fear is likely a traumatic event that happened when you were too young to remember or had the fear of dogs instilled in you by a parent or guardian who had the same fear. These memories take seed in our subconscious minds – becoming similar to programs – and turn into phobias. Now you’ve discovered your phobia of dogs comes from an early memory your brain is conjuring up – even though you’re not aware of it – when you see or hear dogs. This is happening because to that negative program, Factor A (the dog) plus Factor B (you) equals Outcome C (the dog is going to bite you or maul you or something of that nature in most dog phobias). The problem with that is, A plus B doesn’t always equal C. LCD Televisions . What needs to be done here, is a reformatting of that program. The NLP practitioner will work with you to help anchor the trigger – dogs – with a more pleasant association. Instead of that negative programmed memory making you feel fear and panic, the sight of dogs will be reprogrammed to bring to mind a calming tone of voice, a color that makes you relax or a place you find comforting. You may never love dogs enough to own one, but you may just be able to brush one when you visit a friend with a pooch of their own.Find more info about NLP Course information aswell as NLP Practitioner Course info.

Awareness – NLP

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

There are two basic principals of beginning to work with Neuro-Linguistic Programming which can greatly improve a person’s life by teaching them how to control their emotional reactions, move further in their career and improve behavioral problems. This powerful, fast and effective method of psychotherapy – called NLP for short – can assist a person on their journey to a happy, more fulfilled life. The first step, though, is deciding that you are ready to change. Without a willingness to accept that many of your problems are caused by the way you think, you are going to get limited use out of NLP therapy. NLP seeks to help you change, but if you are unreceptive to the ideas and methodology behind it, there is little anyone can do. The change first starts with you.Set Goals:The first step in NLP therapy is to set achievable goals keeping in mind exactly what you hope to accomplish. Don’t be vague. Wanting to improve your life isn’t the answer you’re looking for you. You have to know exactly what you need to improve your life – what needs to change, what needs to stay the same, what needs to be added and what needs to be removed are all questions you need to ask yourself at this time. For this reason, setting goals may take longer and be more involved than you expected, but it is necessary if you want to see real results. When you have answered the questions posed above it is time to state your goals. Leave the negativity at the door here. Phrase your goals in a positive way. You almost must be able to see, hear, feel, taste or touch the results. In other words, you must be able to have tangible results. This way you can test your results and physically experience your achievements. boston domain name disputes . Make this easier by visualizing your results as you set your goals. Imagine all aspects of that goal and achieving it. You also have to be responsible for keeping track of your results yourself. This is important because you don’t want your progress to depend on someone else. Also be sure the result does not limit you in any way. The goal of NLP is opening yourself up to choice and option. Do not set a goal that robs you of either of those things.AwarenessAwareness is of vital importance. Setting a goal is of little help if you can’t tell whether or not you progressing. You have to be able to see the progress in yourself but also, be able to read your progress in the people you interact with. Read them carefully for their reaction to you and watch to see if it is changing as it should be. You should be able to see positive changes in the way they interact with you. The great thing about NLP is it shows you how to do that as well.If you are looking for more info about NLP then you need to check what is nlp.

Behind NLP

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a form of psychotherapy that while not typically recognized by mainstream psychotherapy has become extremely popular with teachers, life couches and marketing and business executives. There are even several psychotherapists with private practices and many hypnotherapists who employ the methodology behind NLP.NLP seeks to change the programming we have in our brains that causes us to react negatively to certain triggers. The belief is that those triggers are really memories or learned behaviors from the subconscious mind that are impacting our emotions. By reprogramming these memories with something positive – a calming color or sight, a happy memory or a pleasant tone of voice – we are thereby changing the way our brain interprets the trigger and changing the way we react. Sure there is little hard, scientific data to back up the claims made by NLP and NLP practitioners but when carefully considered, the theories posed by the method make sense. There has to be some reason Patient A and Patient B react to things like dogs, snakes or spiders differently. They could have grown up next door to each other, spent their entire childhoods together and came from the same basic background. We’ll say, for arguments sake that they were both from middle class, average families with one sibling two years older and one sibling two years younger, and both parents still married – one parent worked, the other stayed home and for the argument’s sake again, will say it was the same parent at home in both families. They got similar grades in school and both had the same friends. Yet somehow, despite nearly identical childhoods, Patient A is terrified of dogs and Patient B is a dog lover. How does this happen?According to NLP, it is likely that Patient A was bitten by a dog or had a bad experience with a dog, or someone in their family had a fear of dogs and displayed it in from of them. In either case, it is probable Patient A has no memory of this experience because it may have happened when they were too young to remember. That doesn’t matter to the brain though. The subconscious mind remembers this and triggers the fear reaction every time Patient A sees a dog.Patient A wants to solve this problem because Patient B is a close friend and, yes, has a four legged friend of their own. top criminal defense attorney . Patient A just wants to be able to visit Patient B without having a panic attack at the thought of seeing the dog. Patient A turns to an NLP practitioner to get help. The NLP practitioner is going to try to get to the root cause of Patient A’s phobia. Together, they discover that Patient A did in fact have a bad experience which programmed into Patient A’s mind that dogs are bad news and should be avoided. The NLP practitioner will now set about trying to reformat that program by changing the reaction the brain has to dogs. They will do this by reprogramming the brain so when Patient A sees a dog, a pleasant reaction is triggered; allowing Patient A and Patient B to have pleasant visits without the panic attacks.Find more info about NLP Course information aswell as NLP Practitioner Course info.

Learn More About NLP

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

An important part of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is learning how to effectively communicate. Effective communication isn’t just about saying the right words, but it is about how you say them, the body language you use while you say them and making sure that you are being understood. This is vital in business ventures and it is vital in personal relationships. Leaning how to effectively communicate in all areas of your life can make all the difference in how much you achieve.

Beyond communicating with others, NLP also teaches how to communicate with yourself. It helps clear out the self-defeating thoughts, feelings and emotions and replaces them with positive things to help you work toward progress. NLP shows you how to better understand yourself and what happens in your mind to cause the reactions that happen in your body. You learn to open up to the possibilities around you and work toward finding a more opportunities that you can approach that are within your reach.

A major part of effective communicating is realizing that sometimes what you say and what people hear are two completely different things. NLP can teach you how to read people and be aware of their reactions to you – how to recognize if they seem confused or if they seem angered by your words. If they don’t seem to understand what you are saying than you need to adjust the way you are speaking to them.

Everyone has a different level of understanding on certain subjects. If you are speaking to someone on a subject of great importance to you but little importance to them, then you are likely going to run in to problems. It is much better to get a feel for how they are receiving your words before you spend hours explaining something only have to explain it again.

One of the greatest tools of learning effective communication through NLP is learning how to detect when someone isn’t understanding you as well as you need them to. This allows you to adjust your speaking to fit their capabilities. You can use less technical terms, speak in a more even tone and even adjust your posture and body language to match theirs so they feel you are understanding their needs as well.

That particular skill can help greatly in the business world. People are more likely to trust you and feel loyal to you is you express understanding and concern.

Fundamental Methods In NLP

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

Anchoring is one of the fundamental methods in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) – a powerful psychotherapy technique that seeks to improve a person’s life by helping them over come negative thinking and self-limiting thoughts and feelings. Anchoring helps the patient master their emotions and overcome self-defeating behavior. Because it focuses on the root cause of the problem, rather than just seeking to treat the symptoms, NLP and anchoring are a long term solution. All you need is the desire to change and the desire to improve.Emotions and emotional reactions are all caused by something – and that something is called a trigger. Before you can be in control of those reactions you must identify what that trigger is. It will be different for everyone. When seeing an NLP practitioner, the first thing they will do is help you identify your trigger by asking you targeted questions and carefully listening to your responses. They will be looking for key words and phrases and will then ask deeper questions until the trigger is exposed. From there, they will begin helping you anchor that trigger so you will no longer have a negative reaction to it.The trigger stirs an emotional response from memory. A painful trigger is attached to a painful memory. A happy trigger is attached to a happy memory. When you are experiencing an inappropriate emotional reaction to a trigger – getting angry when you encounter a certain trigger and being unable to control that anger – it is important to anchor it to something else.In anchoring a trigger, we are changing what emotion is attached to it. An NLP practitioner is likely to use therapy to anchor a trigger than makes you angry to something you feel neutral about. It is likely not appropriate to attach a trigger that makes you feel angry to something that makes you feel happy as that would create a completely different type of inappropriate reaction. LCD TVs . For that reason, a neutral reaction is more desired – perhaps choosing something that offers a calming an effect to the patient. Many anchoring techniques utilize visualization as a beginning point. The patient is made to visual what makes them angry and then visualize the thing that makes them feel calm. It’s important to think of nothing but those two things, being careful not to allow the negative emotion – rage, in this case – to attach to the calming device. In time, the trigger will automatically be associated with calm instead of rage.If you are looking for more info about NLP Courses then you need to check NLP Training.

NLP In Managing Your Stress

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

It would be difficult to find a person that hasn’t felt overwhelmed or stressed out at some point in their life. Life is stressful. Things go wrong and it can be hard to figure out how to make them right. It can be even harder to accept that those things sometimes can’t be fixed. The trick is to learn how you can deal with these things and not let the stress overwhelm your life. A popular method for learning to do this employed by teachers, business managers, marketing executives, self-help professionals and life couches is Neuro-Linguistic Programming.Although Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) can be used to treat phobias, learning problems, habit disorders, psychosomatic illnesses and even depression the methods can also be incredibly helpful for stress management. For that reason it has become a major part of the self help industry and more and more business people are turning to NLP to help improve their lives. There are three key ways NLP can help manage stress. I’ll explore those more in depth below:Improve Inner DialogueTalking to yourself is actually a very beneficial tool everyone can use, but it’s important to focus on what you say. Many people need to improve inner dialogue by replacing negative phrases with positive ones. Instead of telling yourself you can’t do something or you’ll never get through something – tell yourself it will get better and tell yourself to stay strong. Reinforcing the positive instead of focusing on the negative is a good way to block out stress and even help yourself find a way to get yourself through it.See Yourself As You Really AreMost people look at themselves and see things they don’t like – this is especially true of the physical. The problem with this thinking is that we are almost always far harder on ourselves than we need to be. We set up mental blocks in our mind that limit us to what we can achieve but we also set up mental filters on our eyes. We see the skin thicker than it is or thinner than it is. We see flaws in our appearance that others can’t see.Creating a positive self image is vital to reducing stress. Developing this positive self image often takes no more than focusing on the good in ourselves – and the good in the mirror.Look Beyond the ProblemThis task might be the hardest part of employing the NLP stress management method. loreto bay homes for sale . It can be extremely difficult to see past an obstacle that may seem insurmountable. This is where the first two methods come in handy. With a positive self image supported by good inner dialogue, looking past the problem can be much easier. It’s important to recognize that there are ways around the problem and that life will continue after the problem has been resolved. If you are looking for more info about Learn Neuro Lingusitic Programming then you need to check what is nlp.
