The topic of subliminal persuasion is not without controversy as even the most respected hypnotist do not consent on whether or not subliminal persuasion is useful. Some hypnotists argue subliminal persuasion can’t be effective because the messages of subliminal persuasion are not clearly heard or seen. It would appear that subliminal persuasion does in fact have a tremendous effect upon the decision making processes of people. If subliminal persuasion was not influential, then it would be unlikely that marketing organizations would spend millions of dollars on billboards. This is an appealing fact to contemplate about these persuasion secrets, because most people who are driving do not take their eyes off the road to study the messages these billboards are trying to portray. We could even go a step further and ask: Why would a marketing company put advertisements on active freeways when the marketing firms know drivers cannot take their eyes off the road to study them?

Even so, subliminal persuasion brings in millions of dollars of sales revenue each year. Many methodical test have revealed that subliminal persuasion does work, it is for this reason politicians utilize the persuasion secrets of billboards whilst they are campaigning for an election. Time after time, billboards are placed alongside our city streets with pictures of politicians plastered on them. It cost a lot of money to use billboard advertising, and since this has been a admired advertising and marketing tool for decades, there must be some power in these persuasion secrets, whether or not the covert hypnosis specialists can explain why.

Another interesting case that proves the power of subliminal persuasion comes from a study done by a department store. The department store used a subliminal persuasion audio that continued to repeat, “Stealing is bad. I will not steal”, and the percentage of theft dropped over 35%. Nobody could actually hear the messages, yet their unconscious did process the subliminal messages to the point that the subliminal messages changed their behavior. The philosophy of subliminal persuasion and the persuasion secrets it consists of will always be debated because the scientific studies of subliminal persuasion will always be under the umbrella of skepticism.

This we know for certain: Subliminal persuasion would not be a billion dollar industry unless it was effective.
